Description

This presentation will include a panel of therapists who work in structured wheelchair clinics, including model SCI, rehab and VA facilities. The programming of these clinics including staffing, when/how clinic is held, days of the week, length of visits, number of visits, type of visits, specialty clinics for Smart Wheel, interface pressure mapping (IPM), TELEhealth, and wheelchair skills training will also be discussed. Topics will include how to track productivity, use of the Functional Mobility Assessment (FMA), reimbursement issues, handling the large volume of phone calls, emails, and documentation; storage/space constraints; and utilization of suppliers and manufacturers reps.


Learning Objectives

Upon attending this lecture/seminar, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify three key programming needs for a successful wheelchair clinic.
  2. Participants will be able to source qualified suppliers to assist in their wheelchair clinics.
  3. Participants will be able to list four specialty wheelchair clinics that they can initiate in their own facility.

 


CEU Registration and Cost
