Description

The World Health Organization (WHO) Guidelines on the Provision of Wheelchairs are increasingly being recognized as the standard of care, both in highly developed and less-resourced parts of the world. The Wheelchair Skills Program

(www.wheelchairskillsprogram.ca) is a set of well-validated assessment and training protocols that will help attendees meet the WHO Guidelines. During this session, we will provide an overview of the WHO Guidelines and provide a practical approach to the assessment and training of wheelchair skills.

Learning Objectives

Upon attending this lecture/seminar, participants will be able to:

Describe the eight steps in the WHO wheelchair-provision process.
Describe when and how wheelchair skills should be assessed.
Describe how wheelchair skills can be most effectively taught.

CEU Registration and Cost

0.125 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded to individuals for viewing 1.25 hours of instruction.

After viewing the program

If you have paid for the course please follow the steps below, if you have not paid and want to receive CEU's please see the information above in the (Before viewing the program) section.

Select Post Tests and Evaluations
Select and complete the course post test and evaluation
Select Submit

You will receive your CEU Certificate via e-mailed as a pdf file (Please allow 30 minutes for the database to process your certificate and send it to your e-mail).
