Description

This presentation will examine real-world examples of how to incorporate advocacy into clinical practice from the seating clinic to local consumer organizations and support groups to professional organizations and then finally to Washington, DC. At each point in the process, obstacles and resources will be discussed candidly. The presentation will illustrate how to create the opportunity for consumer empowerment through education of the service delivery process and choice.


Learning Objectives

Upon attending this lecture/seminar, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify two practical skills related to successful advocacy.
  2. State three elements of consumer empowerment.
  3. State two elements of the service delivery process that they can influence.

  4. Select and complete the course post test and evaluation
  5. Select Submit

You will receive your CEU Certificate via e-mailed as a pdf file (Please allow 30 minutes for the database to process your certificate and send it to your e-mail).
